Pain Relief

Often people seek chiropractic care because they are experiencing pain, stiffness or loss of joint mobility. Common conditions treated are

  • Back and neck pain/stiffness

  • Headaches

  • Shoulder, arm or hand pain

  • Hip, groin, knee and foot pain

  • Trapped nerves

  • Sciatica

If you are experiencing pain it is important to understand the underlying cause of why you are experiencing these symptoms. Sometimes problems can arise over many years and can be caused by stressors that we compensate for and adapt to over time. Stressors on our body can be new or old injuries for example

  • Traumas

  • Repetitive movements in jobs

  • Poor posture

  • Stressful periods in your life

  • Poor nutrition

  • Emotional stress

Although our body is well equipped to deal with these unfortunately there is a tipping point when the body can’t adapt and compensate any more and therefore it becomes symptomatic and can result in pain.

If the body has been compensating for a problem, it can then cause other strains and pressure on other parts of the body. This can affect our posture or cause other areas of pain and immobility. Often when we are experiencing pain it can have a further negative affect on our wellbeing and mood and can leave us feeling low. Chiropractic is a discipline that is well equipped to asses and treat musculoskeletal problem, leaving you feeling able to move better, sleep better and feel better in yourself.

Your assessment with your chiropractor will help identify what the underlying cause of your problem is and what other compensations the body may be presenting with. By using adjustment techniques that help to align the body chiropractic can be very safe and effective way to help alleviate some of these painful conditions.
